Principal, Private Markets Portfolio Team (Shanghai)
KKR is seeking to hire an Investment Principal to lead a new, Private Markets Portfolio team from its Shanghai offices. KKR Private Market strategies incorporate Private Equity, Infrastructure, Next Generation Technology, Healthcare Growth and Global Impact investing.
The Portfolio team has successfully operated in the Firm’s Private Credit business over the past 7 years. As Private Markets AUM continues to accelerate, and the Investment Portfolio expands, the Firm this year established a team dedicated to managing trading performance for its European Private Equity and Infrastructure strategies. Following a successful initial implementation, the Firm is now looking to replicate this model for its Asia Private Markets Investment Portfolio. The successful candidate will lead a team of up to 6 people, spanning across sectors, regions and investment strategies within the Asia portfolio.
Team Responsibilities will include:
Tracking and analysing Portfolio Company performance through the investment cycle to provide portfolio insights to internal and external stakeholders
Collaboration with the origination Deal Team on financial and strategic initiatives within Portfolio Companies
Ongoing dialogue with senior leadership of Portfolio Companies, working with management teams on performance trends and KPI’s
Preparation of quarterly reviews and analysis for internal Portfolio Management Committees
Preparation of monthly / quarterly valuations using financial models

Collaboration with other internal teams including Investor Relations, Macro and ESG in the creation of quarterly reporting, investor materials and other ad-hoc requests
The key attributes required from the successful candidate are:
Relevant multi-year experience in a similar role (i.e. Private Equity, Asset Management, Consulting, Transaction Services, Restructuring, Investment Banking)
Strong investing and financial acumen, with the ability to quickly disseminate and analyse financial reporting
Proven leadership skills and the ability to lead a new team, including developing junior talent as well building-out new processes and infrastructure as required
Collaborate with internal peers on the design of any systems/technology tools as required to automate and improve portfolio related processes
The ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, with competing deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese
Senior Manager, Data Operations (Shanghai)
KKR is building out an enterprise data operations group to collect, manage, and harness the power of data across our diverse business activities. Given the criticality of Portfolio Company (PortCo) data to KKR’s Private Markets business, a dedicated PortCo Data Operations function has been established. Structured within the broader Global Data Operations organization, this team is tasked with ensuring all Portfolio Company data is controlled, consumable, and curated to deliver transparent & impactful insight across Portfolio investments to key internal & external constituents.
To strengthen the team’s global presence, PortCo Data Operations is seeking to hire a Senior Manager in Shanghai to serve as the APAC Regional PortCo Data Lead. The incumbent will work closely with regional Private Equity deal teams, KKR Capstone – internal strategy team, and Technology teams to digitally transform the KKR internal portfolio monitoring process and associated technology platform, to improve Portfolio Company data collection, portfolio reporting, valuation, etc. While driving continuous transformation & improvement, this role will also own the execution of the on-going processes of Portfolio Company on-boarding, data collection, data quality management, and reporting/ analytics to meet the evolving needs of both regional & global leadership.
This position will report to the Head of Portfolio Company Data Operations. The ideal candidate would have the unique combination of business acumen, strong data analysis & technical skills, and a passion/ interest in private markets investing. It will be critical that the incumbent possess the ability to partner with PE deal teams to quickly learn and understand nuances of Asia portfolio investments to provide more tailored & diligent data monitoring/ control. The candidate should also be knowledgeable of industry leading practices around data management & governance, have strong verbal/written communication skills, and be a good cultural fit with an emphasis on collaboration, excellence, and action-oriented results.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Understand (APAC) regional nuances across investment & portfolio management processes, working closely with deal teams to build knowledge/ familiarity with active investments to better serve data collection & reporting needs
Establish and manage Asia-wide processes to drive disciplined and consistent data management; maintaining a single source of truth for Portfolio Company data across its lifecycle, including on-boarding new companies, monitoring existing companies, and reporting on exit activities
Proactively govern Portfolio Company data by identifying & defining all key data elements, setting & enforcing data standards, and ensuring they are applied across systems to enable consistent data-driven reporting
Systematically enable data quality controls to ensure Portfolio Company data completeness & accuracy, owning the processing of any/ all corrective maintenance required to remediate identified data issues in a timely manner
Work with Technology to support the configuration, maintenance and enhancement of KKR’s PortCo data collection solution, with emphasis on structuring/ modeling data in scalable way to meet recurring reporting needs
Prepare reports, dashboards/ scorecards, and ad-hoc analytics on both individual Portfolio Company performance, as well as aggregated insight across the Asia PE portfolio to provide leadership clear & accurate insights
Act as a center of excellence for all PortCo related data initiatives globally across KKR to provide data & analytics expertise wherever this data-set is needed
QUALIFCATIONS
5-7 years or equivalent working in the financial services industry with a finance, accounting, data analysis, research or consulting background
Experience leading IT/ digital transformation, with a proven ability to deliver data projects in an agile environment
Strong technical skills in data querying & manipulation; must have advanced Excel skills and at least mid-level SQL querying abilities (selects, joins, unions etc.)
Advanced analytical & data visualization capabilities, with proficiency in using Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI or similar tools to support those analyses & data visualizations required
Hands on experience managing the full data lifecycle, developing & embedding data controls/ validations, and understanding & driving proper data governance
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong cultural fit – Teamwork, proactive/self-starter, results oriented and integrity
Ability to work under pressure; willingness to work extended periods during critical times (e. quarter end)
Ability to manage projects and multiple workstreams simultaneously
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Buy-side exposure - experience in asset/ investment management
More advanced data analytics & modeling skills using Python, R, etc.
Experience with cloud data warehouse solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, etc.
Experience with Private Equity Portfolio Monitoring tools such as iLevel, Cobalt, Chronograph, etc.
Knowledge of Private Markets/ Private Company data, trends and analytics
Familiarity with market & alternative data vendors
Senior Accountant / Manager - Real Estate Finance & Operations, SG
The successful candidate will be part of KKR’s Fund Finance and Operations team and will play a key role in managing Real Estate activities for KKR’s Asia Pacific platform across multiple jurisdictions. The role will require the individual to act as a business partner to key stakeholders to ensure effective management of transactions. This is a highly visible role at the centre of KKR’s Real Estate activities across the Asia Pacific Region.
Responsibilities
Member of the Finance team to support Deal Teams on Real Estate (RE) projects within Asia, including Korea, Japan, Australia and Greater China region.
Support day-to-day execution of RE transactions, including implementation of new structures, entity formation, planning and coordination of fund flows – processing of capital calls and distributions in a tax efficient manner
Point of contact with external auditors, tax advisors, legal advisors, administrators, accounting agents and other external stakeholders as appropriate
Supervise, coordinate and periodic review performance of tax, accounting, audit and corporate secretary service providers
Cash and liquidity management of Real Estate structures and have close cooperation between regional and US Fund Finance Teams
Financing – working with external and internal capital market teams to execute financing
Supervision of loan administration, including monitoring of internal and external loans for Real Estate property companies and loan administration operations tasks
Banking – work with internal treasury team and banking providers across the region to set up required accounts e.g. operational, custodian, broker cash collateral etc.
Document management – ensuring necessary statutory documentation is complete in the appropriate manner
Support Senior Manager based in Singapore on projects as and when required
Risk Mitigation and Change Agent
Risk mind set – identify operational risks and offer solutions to mitigate through process development
Control framework – drive best practice across the function and ensure processes are robust, documented, reviewed periodically and followed
Technology – embrace technology and identify options where technology can be leveraged to drive efficiency, offer scale to the platform and mitigate risk

Qualifications & Skills
Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA, etc.) with 4 to 7 years of experience in the financial services sector, preferably Real Estate
Strong IT aptitude, with a demonstrable knowledge of accounting systems and architecture
Exposure/knowledge of Corporation Tax and GST in a Real Estate fund
Experience preparing / contributing to the statutory accounts and audit process
Demonstrable experience in driving change and challenging the status quo
General knowledge of fund structuring and management in Singapore and the wider Asia Pacific region
